QUANTITY? RUSH ORDERS? ABOUT RICE/SEED?
1. How much do I need to order?
If you are serving from containers such as baskets , silver bowls or cones , allow about 1/3 to 1/2 cup toss per guest.
If filling favors, allow one tablespoon per small envelope , 2 tablespoons per tulle bag, 1/4 to 1/2 cup for organza bags.
Allow 1/3 to 1/2 cupful per cone.
2. How far in advance should I order?
Ideally, order 4 weeks to 6 weeks before shipment.
We also accept orders up to 12 months in advance and then ship the month requested.
Hand-made favors and cones require at least 1 week before shipment
Please note — rose petals settle in shipping, like cereal. When they are poured into a container, petals “fluff up” and volume increases.
About storage:
Flowerfetti blends will keep well for several weeks. Store at room temperature. It’s fine to store them in the shipping box, to protect from moisture and sunlight.
3. Why do church & reception sites ban rice & birdseed?
Rice can be slippery. It has not been proven it’s harmful to birds, but there is still concern. Birdseed can cause weeds to grow; it’s also dusty, making it unpleasant to use. Both seed and rice are unattractive in photos.
Flowerfetti is fabric-safe and ecology-wise. Beautiful when photographed, it also creates flower-strewn paths.
Eco-friendly, our wedding toss simply returns to nature after use.
Another trend is butterfly releases. However, this practice is not endorsed by the national Butterfly Association. Visit their website for information. http://naba.org/releases.html
